The girl, whose name was not released, is accused of beating Patricia Lampron, the principal of Dr. William Henderson K-12 Inclusion School in Dorchester in November 2021, Boston.com reported. The 16-year-old already faced assault and battery charges linked to the attack, but on Tuesday, Aug. 16, she was back in court after being charged as a youthful defender, the report said.

That means if she's found guilty she could remain in prison until she's 21 instead of being released at 18, the Boston Herald reported

Several students witnessed the reported Nov. 3 attack where the 16-year-old girl grabbed Principal Lampron by her hair and delivered several shots to the woman's face, Boston.com reported. According to witnesses, the educator was unconscious for several minutes before paramedics got her to a hospital.

Reports said the girl was upset that Lampron and another staff member of the school were following her.
